Job summary

Fortius is seeking a Surgical Services Manager – Clinical Operations to provide senior operational and clinical leadership across the Operating Theatre Department and Enhanced Care Unit. You will work in partnership with the quality and governance teams to drive safe, efficient peri-operative services and high patient experience.

Qualifications

• Registered healthcare professional with current NMC or HCPC registration.
• Degree level education or equivalent professional experience.
• Significant post-registration experience in an operating theatre or peri-operative environment.
• Experience in a senior clinical or operational leadership role.
• Experience in workforce planning, including staffing, skill mix, recruitment and retention.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain joint accountability for the Theatre and ECU performance and safety.
• Provide senior clinical and operational leadership across the Operating Theatre Department and ECU.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists and peri-operative teams to optimise patient pathways.
• Ensure governance, patient safety and continuous improvement across services.
• Oversee workforce planning, staffing and service development across Clinical Operations.
