Job summary

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Matron to provide visible clinical and operational leadership across the Surgery, Theatres and Patient Access Division. The post holder will drive safe, high-quality patient care, governance, workforce management and service performance while fostering compassionate leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.

This role supports delivery of Trust objectives and service priorities across the division.

Qualifications

• RN with a professional qualification (RGN)
• Educated to degree level in health-related studies or equivalent experience
• Strong nursing surgical background
• Substantial experience at Band 7
• Leadership qualities and team leadership
• Experience delivering change and service improvement

Responsibilities

• Provide visible clinical and operational leadership across surgical services
• Deliver quality governance, patient experience and workforce management
• Drive service performance and continuous improvement culture
