Responsibilities

• Develop agreed training programmes for clinical practice, ensuring updates and evidence-based content.
• Provide ongoing support and assessment of clinical skills with competency sign-off.
• Encourage sharing of good practice within the Surgical division and inform training needs analyses.
• Develop and facilitate new clinical skills training programmes in liaison with the PDN.
• Reinforce training on new clinical equipment and support preceptee nurses during their period.
