Job summary

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting two full-time Practice Development Nurse roles in Surgery, one based at Luton and one at Bedford. The posts involve teaching, supervision and pastoral support for nursing staff, CSWs and nursing associates.

You will bridge knowledge gaps, support patient safety and experience, and work with the Surgical PDN; travel between sites may be required, and probationary period applies.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse with current practice authority.
• Experience in education, training and supervision of learners.
• CPD evidence and ongoing professional development.
• Teaching qualification or equivalent experience in education.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver clinical skills training for multi-professional audiences.
• Provide 1:1 teaching, supervision, and pastoral support to staff.
• Facilitate learning to bridge knowledge and skill gaps and improve patient care.
• Collaborate with Surgical PDN to design and implement training programmes.
• Lead on competency-based training and staff development activities.
