Job Description:

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
  • ILS certification.
  • Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
  • Proficient in the use of a PC, including software and systems.
  • Experience in customer care, including handling challenging situations.
  • Previous experience working within an acute healthcare environment.

Duties of this role include:

  • Deliver safe, quality care for patients during their perioperative phase. Support and assist in managing and organizing care within the Operating Department.
  • Assist in delivering patient care.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and enhance skills and knowledge of self and others.
  • Apply and promote evidence-based practice within scope.
  • Follow legislation, policies, and procedures accurately.
  • Maintain knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act and ensure safety measures for patients, visitors, staff, and contractors.
  • Achieve objectives and demonstrate CHG behaviors consistently.
  • Prepare surgical equipment, instruments, and consumables for procedures.
