Job Description:

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
  • ILS certification.
  • Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
  • Proficient in the use of a PC, including software and systems.
  • Experience of customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations.
  • Previous experience working within an acute healthcare environment.
  • Orthopedic SFA experience.

Duties of this role include:

  • Deliver safe, quality care for patients during their perioperative phase.
  • Support and assist in the management and organisation of care within the Operating Department.
  • Assist in the delivery of patient care.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of others and oneself.
  • Apply and promote evidence-based practice within scope.
  • Follow legislation, policies, and procedures correctly.
  • Maintain knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act and ensure safety measures for patients, staff, visitors, and contractors.
  • Achieve objectives and demonstrate CHG behaviours consistently.
  • Prepare and check surgical equipment, instruments, and consumables for procedures.
