Job summary
Cormac is seeking a Surface Treatment Design Technician to support design and delivery of surface treatments across Cornwall. You will assist with design packages, site visits, measurements, and liaise with councils and clients to resolve issues.
A full UK driving licence and health & safety qualifications are required, with everyday duties split between site and office work. The role involves working on site, travelling across Cornwall, and contributing to a wide range of highway improvement
Qualifications
- Qualified in Civil Engineering or Construction
- Interest in improving Cornwall road infrastructure
- Positive attitude and ability to manage time well
- Health and Safety certificate/qualification
- Full UK Driving Licence
Responsibilities
- Provide adequate design information to collate job packages
- Assist with pricing of new works for client approval
- Assist in supervising on-site to ensure design aims are achieved
- Assist with development and management of the main surface treatment programme
- Work with parish/town councils and public to resolve design issues
- Daily mix of site visits, measurements and office-based work
