Job summary

Brunel is seeking a SURF HSE Lead with 10+ years’ experience on subsea/EPCI projects for a 1-year renewable contract based in London.

You will support the SURF Package Manager in implementing and deploying the Project HSE Management System, promote a strong safety culture, and coordinate with contractors and site teams to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 10-20 years professional experience, with EPCI project experience.
• Experience in similar positions (years): 10 at same or equivalent position.
• Experience on subsea projects.
• Languages: English mandatory, good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all health, safety, security, environmental and societal activities across the SURF package during the EPCI phase.
• Implement and maintain the package HSE Management System, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Promote a strong safety culture and drive continuous HSE awareness across all teams and contractor organisations.
• Act as the focal point for HSE matters, supporting project leadership and coordinating with contractors, subcontractors and site teams.
• Monitor HSE performance, audits, inspections, incidents and KPIs, ensuring timely reporting and corrective actions.
• Conduct incident investigations, identify root causes and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure all HSE reviews, audits, site visits and action tracking activities are completed effectively and on schedule.
• Develop HSE training programmes, manage documentation, capture lessons learned and support ongoing project improvement.

Brunel are looking to recruit a SURF HSE Lead with 10 years’ relevant experience gained on Subsea projects. This 12-month renewable contract is to work for a leading Oil & Gas Operating company, and you will be based at the Contractors offices in London, UK.

You will be responsible for supporting the SURF Package Manager in implementing and deploying the Project HSE Management System.

• Experience in similar positions (years): 10 at same or equivalent position
• Experience on similar subsea projects
• Level / Diploma: Engineer, or equivalent
• Languages: English mandatory, with good communication skills; ability to work in a multicultural environment.
