Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Provide a caring, supportive environment for service users.
  • Establish positive relationships with service users.

  • Ensure that care plans are followed and amended as needed.
  • Attend to practical matters like cooking, cleaning, and maintenance.
  • Act as a key worker or co-worker for service users.
  • Offer advice, guidance, and assistance.
  • Provide 1:1 support to address difficulties.
  • Provide emotional support during stressful times.
Job description

HO Healthcare has immediate requirements for Support Workers. Responsibilities include providing assistance and support to young people, and maintaining high quality of care that meets the physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and cultural needs of service users within the care of Inspirations, working from the National Minimum Standards and any other relevant legislation.

Responsibilities
  • To provide a caring, supportive and nurturing environment in which service users can feel secure and free from harm.
  • Establishing positive relationships with Service users and always offering them unconditional and positive regard.
  • Helping service users gain self control by challenging unacceptable behaviour and rewarding acceptable, pro-social conduct.
  • Ensuring that each Service users’s care plan is followed and amended as appropriate to reflect their changing needs.
  • Attending to practical matters in relation to cooking, cleaning, general maintenance around the home etc.
  • To act as a key worker or co worker for service users to ensure that their care plans are up to date and that all their care needs are being met.
  • To be able to offer advice, guidance and assistance where appropriate.
  • Establishing relationships which service users perceive to be positive, warm and rewarding.
  • Providing advice, assistance and support on a 1:1 basis to enable service users to address past and present difficulties.
  • Providing emotional support at times of difficulty or stress.
Requirements
  • 6 months recent relevant experience.
  • No car driving requirement.
  • Recent DBS required (within 3 months maximum/updated). Successful candidates without an updated DBS must undergo an enhanced DBS disclosure; the DBS expense will be met by the applicant.
