E-ACT Ilminster Academy in Ilminster Avenue (West of England) is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the curriculum and help create a positive, nurturing classroom where every child can thrive.

The role emphasizes strong communication, literacy and numeracy, and the ability to motivate learners. It is a fixed-term post for 32 hours per week over 39 weeks, with a supportive team and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Teaching Assistant qualification desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to motivate, engage and inspire young learners.

Responsabilités

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective learning activities across the curriculum.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and build confidence.
• Provide targeted support for pupils with additional learning, social, emotional or behavioural needs.
• Assist in creating a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment where all pupils thrive.
• Help monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers to inform future learning.
