E-ACT Ilminster Avenue Academy in Bristol is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the curriculum, helping individuals and groups to reach their learning goals in a warm, inclusive environment. You will assist teachers, monitor progress, and provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs, contributing to a positive classroom where every child can thrive.

This fixed-term role offers term-time hours and a competitive pay scale within a supportive trust.

Formación

Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils in their learning and development, helping to create a positive, nurturing environment where children feel valued, inspired and ready to succeed. Key responsibilities:

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective learning activities across the curriculum.

Pay range:

• SCP 5 -7: £20,416.30 - £21,070.65
• FTE: £26,427.00 - £27,274.00
• 32 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
• Fixed Term until 31/08/2027

Qualifications and Skills:

• Teaching Assistant qualification desirable
• A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• The ability to motivate, engage and inspire young learners.
