Job summary

The Hermitage Infant School in Woking is looking for a enthusiastic support role to work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to aid children’s learning and wellbeing. You will provide a mix of one-to-one and small group support both in and out of the classroom, including lunchtime supervision.

The role runs Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 3:15 pm (31.25 hours per week). A patient, positive and nurturing approach is essential, with confidence to work one to one and handle challenging

Qualifications

• Demonstrate a positive, patient and nurturing approach towards children.
• Willingness to work one to one and with challenging situations.
• Be able to contribute fully to school life and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide additional academic and emotional support for children.
• Carry out one to one, paired or small group work both in and out of the classroom.
• Assist with general classroom duties and lunchtime supervision.
