Job summary

St Joseph's Catholic Primary School (Guildford) is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join us on a part-time basis, 8:45am–1:00pm, 21.25 hours per week over 39 weeks per year. The role supports pupils with access to learning and SEN needs, under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO, offering essential classroom assistance and nurturing support.

• An excellent level of written and spoken English and Maths is essential for this role.
• Ability to operate basic equipment.
• Good listening skills and enthusiasm to learn.
• Accuracy and ability to follow instructions

Responsibilities

• Following the direction of the class teacher and SENCO delivering learning and social and emotional
• Support children to access the curriculum so they make progress with their learning
• Confident in understanding the different challenges children with additional needs face and have an understanding of strategies which will help them to thrive.
