Job summary

Bridgend County Borough Council is seeking a temporary Manager to lead two teams in supported living, delivering high-quality, person-centred support with calm, clear direction during challenging times.

You will oversee personal plans, risk assessments and documentation, support staff with active support and positive risk management, build relationships with families, social workers, health partners and community teams, maintain safe staffing and rotas, and ensure the service runs smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities or complex needs.
• Emotionally intelligent with strong grounding skills and the ability to lead others through challenging situations.
• Organised and proactive, able to prioritise competing pressures effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a dedicated team to deliver person-centred support.
• Oversee personal plans, risk assessments, and documentation.
• Promote risk management and staff wellbeing in a demanding environment.
• Maintain safe staffing, effective rotas, and clear communication channels.
