Job summary

The Manchester College, part of the LTE Group, invites applications for a Supported Learning Team Leader at Openshaw Campus in Manchester. The role leads SEND Support Practitioners delivering high quality student support across levels Entry Level to Level 3 and into Higher Education.

Reporting to the Head of Department for Additional Learning Support, the post offers a clear progression path and a competitive pension scheme within a 35-hour week in a vibrant further education setting.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 Management qualification or higher.

We have an exciting opportunity at our Support Learning Department as a Supported Learning Team Leader on a permanent, full time (35 hours per week) basis.

Reporting to the Head of Department for Additional Learning Support at the Openshaw Campus, this role provides a great opportunity for advancement toward higher levels of leadership and management. The key focus of the role is the line management of SEND Support Practitioners in the delivery of high quality, inclusive support for students of High Needs/SEND in a mainstream, vocational setting across Entry Level to Level 3 and into Higher Education.

Located just outside Manchester city centre, the campus offers a wide range of vocational and academic courses, with specialist spaces for areas such as construction, engineering, health, and digital.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Business Administration NVQ Level 3.
  • Level 3 Managementqualification at Level 3 or above.
  • Project and/or events managementqualification.
  • Advanced IT user qualifications.
  • Successful experience of workingin an office environment within the further education sector and providing recognised high value.
  • Supervisory experience.
