Salary: £46,543 to £50,646 per annum including London Weighting

At Clarus Education, we are supporting the recruitment of an FE College who are seeking an exceptional educational leader to spearhead their brand-new SEND centre opening in September 2025.
This is a rare opportunity to shape provision from the ground up in a purpose-built facility designed to transform educational outcomes for students with learning difficulties and disabilities.
The new campus will provide a high-quality inclusive learning environment for over 60 SEND students, including those with severe learning needs. This state-of-the-art facility will feature on-site therapies, sensory rooms, medical services, and multi-disciplinary teams, with classrooms equipped with cutting-edge technology.
The Role - Supported Learning Section Manager
Reporting to the Head of School for Supported Learning, you will:
• Lead the development and management of all provision at this exciting new campus
• Line manage academic and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence
• Teach across a range of SEND programmes, maintaining your connection to classroom practice
• Drive innovation in curriculum design and delivery for students with diverse learning needs
What You'll Need - Supported Learning Section Manager
I'm looking for a passionate SEND professional with:
• Degree-level qualification or equivalent
• Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector
• At least 3 years' recent teaching experience in Supported Learning (SEND)
• Proven curriculum management/coordination experience
• In-depth knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
• Strong understanding of Functional Skills and RARPA
• Excellent leadership skills, with experience managing teams in FE or similar settings
• A genuine commitment to inclusive education and improving outcomes for SEND learners
