Job summary

Whitmore Vale Housing Association in Godalming, Surrey, is seeking a Housing Officer to support our Estates & Housing Team and tenants with housing management and supported housing responsibilities. You will need strong literacy and numeracy, IT skills, confidentiality, and the ability to relate well to tenants, contractors and local authorities while managing a caseload.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing management or tenancy management.
• Ability to deal sensitively with tenants and maintain confidentiality.
• Willingness to work flexibly.
• Commitment to supported housing.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload and deliver a high-quality housing management service.
• Assist tenants with welfare benefits and signposting.
• Input and maintain data using IT systems.
• Liaise with contractors and other stakeholders.
• Attend on-call rota for emergencies (with TOIL).
• Support tenancy support and neighbourhood wellbeing.
