Job title: Supported Housing Development Lead

Responsible for:
Purpose: Independently lead lease and capital growth projects, ensuring commercially viable and sustainable outcomes.
- Act as the key representative of the organisation, delivering exceptional stakeholder engagement and project oversight from conception to completion.
- Conduct project viability assessments and ensure timely, budget-conscious delivery of specialist housing projects for adults with learning disabilities and autistic individuals.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with landlords, local authorities, and tenants/customers to facilitate housing solutions.
- Support the organisation’s growth strategy by identifying and securing new development opportunities.
Location: We are hiring for two exciting Supported Housing Development Lead roles, each based in a different location. These roles are identical in scope and responsibilities, but each will be dedicated to one of the following locations:
Based in the Midlands
Based in the South West

- Proficient in presenting and promoting GLH's work both verbally and in writing.
- Effective at building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners including Local Authorities, and care and support providers.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, a 'can do' attitude, and the ability to see tasks through to completion, making valuable service improvement recommendations.
- Skilled in managing diverse stakeholder relationships, both internal and external
- Experienced in producing project financial appraisals.
- Ability to show sound commercial awareness and understanding of financial management and contractual requirements.
- Knowledgeable in property development, construction processes, and the housing and care sector.
- Capable of working under pressure, both independently and collaboratively within a team, to meet deadlines.
- Committed to promoting inclusivity and accessibility for individuals with learning disabilities and autistic people.
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Desirable
- Experienced in project management within the housing sector.
- A relevant housing related qualification.
- Experience in securing funding, grants, and investment for housing projects.
- Awareness of sustainability and accessibility requirements in housing developments.
