Job description

Job title: Supported Housing Development Lead

Responsible to: National Development Manager

Responsible for:

Purpose: Independently lead lease and capital growth projects, ensuring commercially viable and sustainable outcomes.

• Act as the key representative of the organisation, delivering exceptional stakeholder engagement and project oversight from conception to completion.
• Conduct project viability assessments and ensure timely, budget-conscious delivery of specialist housing projects for adults with learning disabilities and autistic individuals.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with landlords, local authorities, and tenants/customers to facilitate housing solutions.
• Support the organisation’s growth strategy by identifying and securing new development opportunities.

Location: We are hiring for two exciting Supported Housing Development Lead roles, each based in a different location. These roles are identical in scope and responsibilities, but each will be dedicated to one of the following locations:

• Based in the Midlands

• Based in the South West

Personal Specification

Essential

• Proficient in presenting and promoting GLH's work both verbally and in writing.
• Effective at building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners including Local Authorities, and care and support providers.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, a 'can do' attitude, and the ability to see tasks through to completion, making valuable service improvement recommendations.
• Skilled in managing diverse stakeholder relationships, both internal and external
• Experienced in producing project financial appraisals.
• Ability to show sound commercial awareness and understanding of financial management and contractual requirements.
• Knowledgeable in property development, construction processes, and the housing and care sector.
• Capable of working under pressure, both independently and collaboratively within a team, to meet deadlines.
• Committed to promoting inclusivity and accessibility for individuals with learning disabilities and autistic people.
• Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness.
