Job summary

Blue Sapphire Consultancy Ltd is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for our UK client in Malvern Wells. You will provide safe, person-centred care to individuals with complex needs, including learning disabilities and autism, in a structured multidisciplinary setting.

Applicants should have experience with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), be able to maintain composure during escalation, and work closely with care plans to promote wellbeing and independence.

Qualifications

• DoLS/restrictive care arrangements.
• Absconding and community-access risks.
• Supporting individuals with limited or complex communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, person-centred support to individuals with complex needs.
• Work within a structured multidisciplinary care environment.
• Maintain calm during behavioural escalation and de-escalation.
• Ensure adherence to individual care plans.
• Prioritise prevention and positive behaviour support over restrictive intervention.

Job description

Our client is a growing UK based healthcare and social care organisation specialising in complex care and person centred support services. The organisation provides a range of specialist services, including supported living, residential care, community support, mental health services and support for individuals with learning disabilities and autism.To provide safe, person-centred and consistent support to individuals with complex needs who may present

with behaviours that challenge, physical aggression, impulsivity, destructive behaviour, absconding risks and

significant difficulties with emotional regulation.

The Support Worker will work as part of an enhanced staffing model, which may include 3:1, 4:1 or 5:1

support, and must be confident working within a structured multidisciplinary care environment where effective

communication, teamwork, situational awareness and adherence to individual care plans are essential.

The role requires staff who can remain calm and professional during periods of significant behavioural

escalation and who understand that prevention, positive behaviour support and de-escalation must always be

prioritised before restrictive intervention
