Job summary

Dimensions in Weymouth is seeking a compassionate Waking Night Support Worker to join a dedicated team. You will cover nights 21:30–08:30, ensuring a safe, calm environment and person-centred care for a gentleman in his 20s who lives at home and is autistic.

You’ll document plans and health records, work independently yet stay connected with the team, and uphold dignity, respect, and wellbeing throughout the night. Training and ongoing support are provided by Dimensions.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out regular keeping safe checks to ensure everyone feels secure and comfortable.
• Maintaining a clean, hygienic space so the environment is welcoming and safe.
• Recording important information using IT systems from support plans to safety logs.
• Creating a therapeutic, reassuring atmosphere that promotes wellbeing at night.
• Supporting people to enjoy their late evenings or nights in ways that matter to them.
• Providing personal care when needed, always with dignity and respect.

About the role

We're looking for a caring and committed Waking Night Support Workerto join our team in Weymouth, supporting a friendly gentleman in his 20s who lives in his own home.

He is autistic and benefits from consistent, person-centred support that helps him maintain routines, develop confidence, and gradually explore new opportunities and experiences.

Every night,you’llhelp create a safe, calm, and comforting environment for the people we support.
Your role will include:

• Carrying out regular "keeping safe checks" to ensure everyone feels secure and comfortable.

Shift: 9.30 pm - 8.30 am
