Job summary

Brainkind in Glasgow is seeking a Support Worker Team Leader to supervise a skilled team delivering person-centred care at Graham Anderson House. You’ll lead rotas, monitor standards, support safeguarding, and drive quality care within regulatory requirements.

You’ll manage day-to-day budgets, attend meetings with external agencies, and promote a homely environment while empowering staff and service users. Prior experience in care and good IT skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically word, excel, outlook and internet use.
• NVQ / QCF level 3 HSC or willingness to work towards within 12 months.
• Previous experience of working in a care setting.
• Knowledge of current relevant legislation relating to care standards, health and safety and food hygiene.
• Demonstrate ability to be flexible and adaptable in approach, prioritise, plan and organise the work load.
• Customer-focused approach and professional attitude.
• IT skills including Outlook, Microsoft Office and internet navigation.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders to enhance Brainkind's reputation.
• Provide line management to a designated team at a location or group of locations.
• Plan and organise staff rotas, ensuring coverage and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Ensure administration of medication is effectively managed, audited, ordered and stored.
• Contribute to recruitment, selection and induction of support staff.
• Supervise, appraise, develop and train team of support workers.
• Comply with staff management procedures including attendance and discipline.
