Havencare South West Limited in Penzance is recruiting for sleep-in support workers to provide one-to-one care to individuals with learning disabilities and autism across Penzance, Newlyn and Newquay.
You will require a clean manual UK driving license to use mobility cars, be reliable, patient and able to work alone or with a team; training is provided.
We offer full-time and part-time contracts, extensive training, DBS check, references, and the chance to grow within a forward-looking charity.
Sleep Rate: £55.35
Overtime Rate: +£2 on usual hourly rate
Hours: 15 to 37.5 (multiple contracts available)
Location: Penzance, Newlyn and Newquay
Due to our sponsorship obligations, we are unable to offer part-time hours to those requiring sponsorship

The roles we want you for are our single support services, these services are all one to one giving a fantastic opportunity to build a great rapport and work closely with our wonderful individuals. The support is designed to match and meet the needs and choices of those we support, putting them at the heart of their own support.
Beneficial having experience and understanding of acquired brain injury and autism, epilepsy would be beneficial, but training is provided.
Each individual we support has their own likes and dislikes from Avid Cornish pirates fan (not missing a home game for over 4 years) and sports nut in general, to someone enjoying the quieter side of life and their arts and crafts in their summer house, or do you fancy becoming a café Connoisseur going for cake and coffee or a meal out at local hotels and cafes. Playing gold at a local driving range or supporting someone to go to church and talking about history and politics, we have something for you.
Some personal care maybe required with the individuals supported, as well as support with medication, attending appointments and meetings where needed, supporting giving advice and guidance, prompting and working in a pro-active way to help individuals’ life the best life they can.
We have a range of part-time and full-time contracts available and full training provided.
JR Penzance: 10am start until 10pm sleep-in and finish at 10am the following day, this is their choice of shift pattern
SS Newlyn: 08.15-10pm sleep-in finishing 08.15am
CB Newquay: more flexibility which can be discussed following successful interview based on daily placement and needs.
