Havencare, a forward-thinking charity in Devon, is recruiting Support Workers to assist people with learning disabilities, autism, brain injuries and other support needs. This role includes working at Plymouth Homes and in the community.

You will help with day-to-day living, some personal care, and participate in activities like cinema visits, trips to the park, or shopping. A full UK driver’s license and vehicle access are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Support people with day-to-day living in their homes and in the community.
  • Assist with some personal care tasks as required.
  • Engage in activities such as cinema, parks, shopping, and travel by bus or train with the individuals supported.
  • Occasional weekend shifts and flexible patterns to meet people’s needs.

About the Role:
Your role would involve supporting people with all aspects of day-to-day living, some aspects of personal care, in their homes and out in the community. The people you would support have a range of interests which include going to cinema, disco, picnic in the park, trampolining. They also enjoy walking into town for a coffee, shopping and exploring different places by bus or train. If you share these interests, then this could be a great opportunity for you to work in an environment that combines your shared interests with your career.

About the usual working pattern:

  • To be discussed at interview. Shift patterns will include weekend working on a rotational basis.
