Job summary

Achieve together in Wirral is seeking passionate Support Workers to help people live independently with rich daily activities. You will deliver person-centred care, maintain records, and support communication needs in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Care Certificate to be completed within the first 6 months in post.
• Committed to completing 100% of allocated eLearning and service-specific training.
• Level 2 in Adult Care or equivalent – desirable.
• Working within our deaf services, BSL Level 1 qualification – desirable.
• This role will require a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Enhancing and enriching quality of life for the people we support, helping them achieve goals.
• Maintaining health, wellbeing and emotional needs, including personal care and attending appointments.
• Complying with health and safety, safeguarding policies, and reporting concerns immediately.
• Encouraging access to opportunities and community inclusion.
• Supporting social activities and holidays with the people we support.
• Maintaining records, care plans, risk assessments and daily incident logs.
• Using up-to-date knowledge of each individual's communication preferences.
• Working as part of a team, attending meetings and promoting open communication.
• Supporting behaviours that challenge safely, using approved training approaches.
