Job summary

Achieve together in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help people live independently with person-centered care, including support for deaf individuals using BSL. The role focuses on promoting independence, dignity and community integration.

You will receive comprehensive training, a DBS check, and flexible hours within a supportive environment that prioritises development, wellbeing and meaningful activity participation.

Qualifications

• Care Certificate to be completed within the first 6 months in post.
• Committed to completing 100% of allocated eLearning and service-specific training.
• Level 2 in Adult Care or equivalent – desirable.
• Working within our deaf services, BSL Level 1 qualification – desirable.
• This role will require a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Enhancing quality of life for the people we support, helping them reach goals and life skills.
• Maintaining health, wellbeing and personal care, attending health appointments and medication administration.
• Complying with health and safety, safeguarding policies and reporting concerns immediately.
• Encouraging access to opportunities and participation in community activities.
• Supporting people to stay connected with family and friends, including annual holidays.
• Maintaining records, care plans, risk assessments, daily reports and incident records.
• Using individuals' preferred communication methods and working in a supportive team.
