Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a passionate Learning Support Worker for a SEN centre in the UK. The role focuses on supporting young adults with learning difficulties, including ASD, to develop communication and independence skills.

You will assist with life skills, employability, and education support in a 1:1 and small group setting, with some community-based work. The position runs Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, in an education centre with benefits such as on-site parking, funded training, and

Qualifications

• Experience working with adults or children with learning or communication difficulties.
• Demonstrates commitment to safeguarding and safety in educational settings.
• Ability to work 1:1 and in small groups within a SEN environment.
• Must have right to work in the UK and access to own transport.

Responsibilities

• Interacting and participating with the students in the development of skills, supporting pupils to reach their potential for independence.
• Supporting clients' participation in social, leisure, educational and employment opportunities within the local community.
• Providing the support and care identified in students' individual learning plans.
• Encouraging and enabling students to maintain acceptable levels of personal and environmental hygiene.
• Participating in relevant training to achieve required qualifications and attend mandatory training days/courses, on or off site, as and when required.

Are you looking for a care role with no night shifts or weekends?

Can you provide a positive and safe atmosphere in the classroom?

This fabulous SEN centre is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Learning Support Worker to change the lives of young adults with learning difficulties including Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Your focus will be to help your students become effective communicators and independent individuals. Your support learners with life skills, employability skills and further education support.

Your support learners on a 1:1 and small group basis. This is based in an education centre however some of the work you do will be supporting in the community.

This role is needed Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.

Your responsibilities will include:
