Job summary

Ashdown Care is looking for a dedicated Support Worker in Prudhoe to provide compassionate, person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities. You will join a supportive team on a 33-hour plus sleeps contract, including 12-hour shifts and sleep duties.

The ideal candidate has experience with challenging behaviour and a valid UK driving licence. You will work with motivated managers and access ongoing development opportunities in a family-run company with a strong community focus.

Qualifications

  • Must have experience with challenging behaviour.
  • Experience with adults with learning disabilities, autism is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Support service users with learning disabilities to improve quality of life.
  • Assist with daily activities and personal care as required.
  • Plan and participate in activities to promote engagement and well-being.

Support Worker Prudhoe

Prudhoe

33 hours + 2.33 sleeps contract (12 hour shifts + sleeps)

Due to the personal care needs of the service user, this role is open to female applicants only, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

Contracted hours: 33 hours + 2.33 sleeps

Salary: £13.60 per hour

Required:

  • Must have experience with challenging behaviour, working in a 2 – 1 basis
  • Experience with adults with learning disabilities, autism
  • UK driving licence, vehicle not required
