Job summary

Encompassborders is seeking a Support Worker/Personal Assistant for a Hawick-based role to help a 14-year-old girl with morning routines, homework support, and evening care at home. The role includes personal care, medication assistance, nocturnal setup with a bipap machine, and shadowing with full training provided.

The position offers up to 20 hours per week at £14.45 per hour, with paid annual leave of 5.6 weeks pro rata, a 6-month probation, and PVG scheme membership required.

Support Worker/Personal Assistant – Hawick

I am a 14-year-old girl and live at home with my family in Hawick. I have complex needs and require full support with all my personal care and other aspects of my daily needs. I am looking for someone to spend time with me throughout the week, predominately mornings to help get ready for school and evenings to help get ready for bed.
I love music, going to see the horses, being out for walks, baking and playing on my iPad. I use a wheelchair and a hoist for all transfers. You will also help my mum get me ready for bed in the evening. My mum will give you full support with all aspects of my care, and further training can be provided.

Terms:

• Hours of work: Up to 20 hours per week available, morning and evening preferable.
• £14.45 per hour.
• Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata
• Probationary period of 6 months
• Post subject to references and PVG scheme membership
