Job summary

Encompassborders is seeking a Support Worker/Personal Assistant for a Hawick-based role to help a 14-year-old girl with morning routines, homework support, and evening care at home. The role includes personal care, medication assistance, nocturnal setup with a bipap machine, and shadowing with full training provided.

The position offers up to 20 hours per week at £14.45 per hour, with paid annual leave of 5.6 weeks pro rata, a 6-month probation, and PVG scheme membership required.

Qualifications

• Experience is essential for a candidate and someone with the right personal attributes, and to be able to show some suitability for the role is required.

Responsibilities

• Spend time with me doing activities after school, including homework.
• Help me build my confidence as I can be anxious.
• Attend to personal care needs, including continence care and getting me ready for bed.
• Assist with my medication administration.
• Set up my bipap machine before letting me settle to bed.
• Full training will be given with all aspects of my care, and a period of close shadowing will also be provided.
