Encompass in Hawick is seeking a cheerful personal care assistant to provide weekend morning support. You will help with showering, dressing and daily hygiene, ensuring safety and dignity in the client’s home.

I am a gentleman who lives in Hawick with my wife. I am looking for a cheerful and supportive person to assist me with personal care/showering on Saturday and Sunday Morning. I require full support to shower and dress as I am unable to use my hands fully. I am very sociable and have varied interests.

Terms:

• Hours of work: 2 per week as listed below:
• 1 hour in the morning around 9am. Saturday and Sunday
• A degree of flexibility can be given for the right person.
• £14.55 per hour.
• Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata
• Probationary period of 6 months
• Post subject to references and PVG scheme membership

Job Description

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

• To support client to ensure their safety and well-being.
• To support with personal care routine.
• Full support to shower and get dressed.
• Clean my teeth and have a daily shave.
• Change my catheter bag.
• Attend to any other needs as required during each visit.
• To develop a positive relationship with the client and work as part of a team.
