Job summary

Encompass in Eyemouth, Scotland, seeks a compassionate care assistant to support a gentleman in his home. You will help with personal care, including catheter care, ensure safety and wellbeing, and keep his equipment and surroundings clean and tidy.

You will work with another team member when needed and independently at times, building a positive relationship with the client and his family. Knowledge of moving and handling and first aid would be desirable, full training provided, and a driver is

Terms:

• Hours of work: Saturday and Sunday mornings from 7am for 3 hours at a time, – future flexible days and times to be discussed with the employer


• £14.85 per hour.


• Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata


• Probationary period of 3 months


• Post subject to successful reference checks and PVG

Skills and Experience

Knowledge of moving and handling and first aid would be desirable but not essential as training can be provided.

Experience is not essential for a candidate with the right personal attributes, but they should be able to show some suitability for the role.

Due to the location a driver would be essential for this role.
