Job summary

Pharmacyupdate is seeking compassionate Support Workers to join our team in Mansfield. You will assist adults with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs to live independently with dignity and purpose.

Role includes night shifts, weekends, and Bank Holidays with a 36-hour full-time contract. Training is provided along with opportunities for personal development and progression.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in a support or care role.
• Confident working with individuals with complex needs or behaviours that challenge.
• Strong communication skills and emotional resilience.
• A passion and drive to make a difference.
• A team player with a proactive, person-centred approach.

Responsibilities

• Promote and support independence, choice, dignity and respect at all times.
• Support individuals daily living activities, including medication, meals, budgeting, household tasks and may include personal care.
• Encourage social inclusion and confidence in the community.
• Monitor and promote individuals' physical and mental wellbeing.
• Follow and implement person-centred support plans.
• Support individuals with personal goals.
• Use training to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours.
• Work with your team to maintain high-quality support.
• Maintain accurate up-to-date daily records and incident forms.
