Job summary

Pharmacyupdate in Mansfield is seeking a care assistant to provide support and companionship to individuals with complex needs. The role includes daily living activities, medication support, and safeguarding.

You will work 36 hours per week with weekend and bank holiday shifts, and receive in-person training, personal development, and opportunities for progression in a supportive team focused on dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or over.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Must be able to speak and understand English to a good standard for effective communication, record-keeping and safeguarding the wellbeing of those you will be supporting.
• Please note we do not currently hold a sponsorship licence and are therefore unable to offer visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Promote and support independence, choice, dignity and respect at all times.
• Supporting individuals with their daily living activities, including medication, meals, shopping, budgeting, household tasks, and may also include personal care.
• Encourage social inclusion and confidence in the community.
• Monitor and promote individuals physical and mental wellbeing.
• Follow and implement person-centred support plans.
• Support individuals with their personal goals.
• Use your experience and training to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours.
• Work collaboratively with your team to maintain consistent, high-quality support.
• Maintain accurate up-to-date daily records, reports and incident forms.
