Job summary

Cygnet Group is looking for a confident Support Worker to join Cygnet Heathers in West Bromwich. You’ll be working full-time 42 hours a week, 12-hour shifts, days & nights, including every other weekend, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Heathers.

Cygnet Heathers is a 20-bed service providing neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative rehabilitation for men with mental health difficulties and acquired brain injury.

Qualifications

• Experience as a support worker with complex care needs.
• Driven to make a real difference in people’s lives.
• Excellent communicator and a good team player.
• Sensitive and intuitive with energy for a varied environment.
• Passionate about empowering and supporting service user independence.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care.
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
• Learn about individuals’ specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way.
• Assist with medical and welfare needs.
• Report on medical and welfare needs as required.
• Safeguard.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for all.
• Support with all aspects of care including personal care.
