Job summary

Active Care Group is hiring a Support Worker for our Blackburn Road service in Lancashire. This full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week and a salary of £25,400.16 per year (FTE), with pro rata arrangements where applicable.

You will build relationships, support rehabilitation programmes, and help with daily living activities in a calm, homely setting. The ideal candidate has a genuine interest in person-centred care, strong communication skills, and experience in care or mental health.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in providing person-centred care.
• Effective communication at all levels.
• Experience in care sector / mental health.
• Enhanced DBS will be required.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with the people we support.
• Support to undertake rehabilitation programmes.
• Establish methods of communication to reduce barriers.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Report and/or record work activities.
• Communicate issues to the clinical team.
• Maintain accurate records.
