Job summary

Peabody is seeking two compassionate Mental Health Support Workers to join our Hackney High Support Mental Health Services. You will work with customers with serious mental illness to build resilience and pursue greater independence, using trauma-informed, strengths-based approaches.

You will develop personalised support plans, foster recovery, and collaborate with health and social care professionals to safeguard and empower individuals in a busy, supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting people with mental health needs, vulnerable adults, or those facing multiple and complex challenges.
  • Knowledge of recovery-focused and trauma-informed practice.
  • Strong communication, report-writing and IT skills.
  • A caring, empathetic and non-judgemental approach.
  • The resilience to work in a busy and emotionally demanding environment.
  • Confidence working independently, including lone working when required.
  • An understanding of safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

We're looking for two compassionate and motivated Mental Health Support Workers to join our High Support Mental Health Services in Hackney, where you'll support customers with a history of serious mental illness to achieve their goals, build resilience and move towards greater independence.

What you’ll do

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you'll work closely with customers to develop personalised support plans that promote recovery, wellbeing and independence. You'll also:

You’re a customer-focused individual, an effective communicator who can work confidently with customers, colleagues and external agencies. You’ll also have:

We haveTWO full time, permanentroles available, across two Hackney mental health services. Working 7.5-hour shifts - Rotating shift pattern between 8:00am and 10:00pm and includes weekend working
