CareTech Community Services is recruiting a Support Worker for New Lodge in Longton, to assist adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. The role is permanent, full-time (35 hours/week) on a rota, with a pay rate of £12.79 per hour and visa-restriction awareness.

Training and progression opportunities are provided to help you grow within the company. We seek caring, patient, and reliable individuals with good communication skills and a flexible, team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work towards Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis.
• Drivers essential.
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by employer).

About the Service

New Lodge New Lodge is a residential care home which provides care and support for up to 4 people with learning disabilities and/or autistic spectrum disorder and physical disabilities who enjoy a wide range of hobbies from Bowling and Swimming to Dance and Music., There is easy access to public transport and it is close to local shops.

Service User Interests The people we support enjoy a wide range of activities, and Support Workers play a vital role in enabling these experiences, including: Arts and crafts Days out such as Theme Parks, Meals out, Social activities, Christmas markets etc.

The Role You will:

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
• Support activities, appointments, and community access

  Who We’re Looking For We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach.

  You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.
