Job summary

Mencap is seeking skilled Support Workers to join our Hebburn team. You will assist with daily living activities and offer emotional support to individuals with learning disabilities, helping them live more independently.

We value genuine care, strong communication, and a positive, empathetic approach. Roles include evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins; DBS checks are standard. 24hr services and rota planning support personal life.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for supporting others.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, nights and bank holidays.
• Positive, empathetic attitude toward individuals with learning disabilities.
• Part-time: 22–32 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities.
