Job summary

Mencap in Hebburn is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our incredible team. As a Support Worker, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities, assisting with daily activities and providing emotional support.

We offer 24 days of paid holiday pro rata and a range of benefits. Roles include flexible shifts evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and bank holidays; all roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for supporting others.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, nights and sleep-ins.
• Positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
• Part-time: 22–32 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily activities and personal care.
• Provide emotional and social support to individuals with learning disabilities.
• Work as part of a diverse care team to support independent living.
