Job summary

Dignus Group is hiring a Support Worker in Walsall to assist adults with complex needs to gain independence and achieve personal goals. You’ll follow individual care plans, perform daily living tasks and provide person-centered support tailored to each person’s needs.

This role is 24/7 with a mix of day and night shifts; full-time and part-time positions available. We offer funded training and clear progression within the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable adults or people with complex needs.
• Caring, calm and person-centred approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confidence in fast-paced or unpredictable environments.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
• Good record keeping and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and professional boundaries.
• Flexibility to work across shifts.
• Genuine passion for helping people live more independent lives.
• Level 2 Health & Social Care desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning and shopping.
• Help individuals develop life skills and confidence.
• Assist access to community activities, appointments and opportunities.
• Encourage choice, independence and informed decision-making.
• Assist individuals to maintain tenancy and home environment.
• Complete accurate daily records and support documentation.
• Work closely with social workers, families and wider support networks.
• Support transitions between services and new admissions.
• Respond calmly to incidents, risks and emergencies.
