Prosperity Care & Wellbeing Ltd is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide person-centred support for adults with complex needs in Gloucestershire. The role focuses on promoting independence, managing challenging behaviours calmly, and supporting community activities.

Applicants should have experience with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs and hold a full UK driving licence. A compassionate, patient and humorous approach is valued within a supportive team.

Support Worker

Location: Longford, Gloucestershire
Shift Pattern: Day shifts from 7:00am-10:00pm and waking night shifts from 10:00pm-7:00am.
Hours: 37.5-45 hours per week (Days) and 27-36 hours per week (Nights)
Pay Rate: £13.00

Driver Requirement

A full UK driving license essential for this position.

We're looking for a patient, resilient, and compassionate Support Worker who can provide consistent, person-centred support.

• Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, and/or mental health needs.
• Confidence in managing behaviours that challenge in a calm and positive manner.
• Ability to recognise triggers and support emotional wellbeing.
• A proactive approach to promoting independence while providing reassurance when needed.
• Good communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Willingness to support with community activities, appointments, and daily living tasks.
• A positive attitude, patience, and a good sense of humour.
• Flexibility to work as part of a dedicated support team.
• A full UK driving licence is essential, as driving is required to support community activities, outings, appointments, and local trips.
