Job summary

HRM Homecare Services in Glasgow North East seeks compassionate Support Workers to provide in-home care, promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life. You will support clients in daily living activities and meaningful community engagement, often in Springburn, Robroyston, and nearby areas.

Flexibility for some weekends/evenings, full training provided, and a PVG check required. The role offers part-time or full-time shifts with a pay rate of £13.45 per hour.

HRM Homecare Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team in Glasgow North East The Support Worker role involves providing essential care and support to individuals within their own homes, promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Support workers are based in the communities in and around Springburn, Robroyston, Dennistoun, North East, East Centre, Carlton, Settleston, Bailieston and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and medication support.
• Support clients to engage in meaningful activities and community involvement.
• Maintain accurate records and report any changes in clients' needs or well-being.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure coordinated care delivery.
• Promote a safe and comfortable environment for clients.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience in a support or care role is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude towards clients.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including availability for some weekends and evenings.
• Willingness to undertake training and development.
• Disclosure Scotland (PVG) Check will be required.

Desirable:

• Qualification in health and social care is advantageous.
• Knowledge of care standards and legislation.
