Job summary

HRM Homecare Services is seeking compassionate Support Workers to join our team in Glasgow North East. The role provides essential care to individuals in their own homes, promoting independence, dignity and quality of life.

Based in Springburn, Robroyston, Dennistoun and surrounding areas, you will support clients with daily living activities, maintain care records, and work with professionals and families to ensure coordinated care. Training is provided and PVG checks are required.

Qualifications

• Flexible approach to working hours, including some weekends and evenings.
• Willingness to undertake training and development; PVG check required.

Responsibilities

HRM Homecare Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team in Glasgow North East The Support Worker role involves providing essential care and support to individuals within their own homes, promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Support workers are based in the communities in and around Springburn, Robroyston, Dennistoun, North East, East Centre, Carlton, Settleston, Bailieston and surrounding areas.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and medication support
• Support clients to engage in meaningful activities and community involvement
• Maintain accurate records and report any changes in clients' needs or well-being
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure coordinated care delivery
• Promote a safe and comfortable environment for clients

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience in a support or care role is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude towards clients
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible approach to working hours, including availability for some weekends and evenings
• Willingness to undertake training and development
• Disclosure Scotland (PVG) Check will be required

Desirable

• Qualification in health and social care is advantageous
• Knowledge of care standards and legislation
