Job summary

People for Places Recruitment Ltd is assisting a Henley-on-Thames based Learning Disability Respite Centre to recruit Support Workers. You will help young adults with learning disabilities, providing personal care, support, and engaging activities to promote independence.

The role involves some evening shifts, weekend work and scheduled sleep-ins. A driver with access to a car is preferred; safeguarding knowledge and compassionate, patient care are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in the care sector is ideal but training will be provided.
• Good communication, ICT, and organisational skills.
• Empathy and passion when delivering care.
• Good team player.
• Good knowledge of safeguarding.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to people with complex learning disabilities.
• Maintain a positive “can do” attitude in all duties.
• Occasional weekend work, evenings and sleep-in duties on a rota basis.
