Job summary

Surrey Independent Living Charity is seeking a patient and reliable support worker for an autistic 8-year-old boy. The role involves after-school and weekend hours, building trust, supporting communication, and assisting with daily activities in a calm, routine-driven environment.

You will work with Ryan on play, feeding, walks, and personal care, with optional driving to activities. A DBS check is arranged, with flexibility for school days and Saturdays.

Qualifications

• DBS check arranged/processed for you
• Right to work in the UK
• Experience with children or autism preferred but not essential

Responsibilities

• Spend time with Ryan and support his communication needs
• Play, engage in activities and provide encouragement
• Prepare and feed him available food
• Take him for walks, playground visits or other outdoor time
• Bathing/shower support
• Optional: Drive him to local activities if you drive
