Job summary

Surrey Independent Living Charity is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist a 9-year-old boy with autism and ADHD. You will accompany him on community trips, help him enjoy his favourite activities, and provide calm, patient guidance to build confidence and independence.

The role requires driving capability and access to a vehicle, plus a willingness to obtain or provide an enhanced DBS check and references. A rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in a child’s life.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with autism, ADHD or other neurodevelopmental conditions.
• Calm, patient and understanding approach.
• Confidently support children in community settings.

Responsibilities

• Accompany Edward on trips and activities in the local community and further afield.
• Support him to participate in his favourite hobbies and interests.
• Promote independence, confidence and positive experiences.
• Provide consistent, calm and patient support tailored to his individual needs.
• Ensure his safety and wellbeing during outings.
