Job summary

iBC Healthcare in the United Kingdom seeks a compassionate Support Worker to provide one-to-one support for an adult with learning disabilities in the S42 area. The role focuses on therapeutic, person-centred care to build routines, confidence and genuine independence at home and in the community.

You will work with an individualised plan and PBS framework to help the person access everyday activities and develop decision-making skills while upholding dignity and choice.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or behaviours of concern.
• Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and trauma-informed practice.
• Strong de-escalation, communication and observational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred, therapeutic support tailored to the individual’s needs, preferences and goals.
• Promote independence and meaningful choice in daily life.
• Support with personal care while maintaining dignity and respect.
• Support medication administration in line with policy.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation and records.
• Work collaboratively with family members, healthcare professionals, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
