Job summary

Advance is recruiting a Care Support Worker in Sarisbury Green, Southampton, SO31. The role supports people with learning disabilities/autism/complex needs to live their chosen lives, with 30 or 37.5 hours per week and a focus on person-centred care.

You will assist with personal care, meals, appointments and daily activities while maintaining care plans and records. Training and progression are offered within Advance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication with people.
• Able to complete quality support records.
• Available to work alternate weekends.
• Able to work between 7am and 10:30pm.
• Must follow a Support Plan and risk assessments.
• Literacy and numeracy in English.
• Willingness to achieve the Care Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and hygiene if required.
• Administer medications if required.
• Prepare and cook meals.
• Attend medical appointments.
• Support social activities.
• Support independent living skills.
• Help with domestic duties like cleaning and laundry.
• Keep accurate records and update care plans.
• Keep up to date with training.
