Job summary

Avenues in Margate is seeking compassionate Female Support Workers to join our teams across services. You will support adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism, epilepsy, complex needs and mobility needs, empowering them to live as independently as possible while achieving their personal goals.

Some of the people we support use wheelchairs, so you'll be confident providing person-centred support that promotes dignity, choice and independence.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and enthusiastic with a supportive attitude.
• Willing to learn and participate in training.
• Full UK driving licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Support people to live independently and achieve personal goals.
• Assist with cooking, shopping, budgeting and maintaining a home.
• Encourage participation in hobbies, activities and community life.
• Support people to build and maintain relationships with family and friends.
• Provide dignified, person-centred personal care where required.
• Assist mobility needs using equipment and safe moving techniques (training provided).
• Create meaningful experiences and celebrate achievements.
