Job summary

Avenues is seeking compassionate and enthusiastic Support Workers to assist adults with learning disabilities across Eastry and Aylesham, Kent. You will help individuals live independently, develop new skills, and participate in community activities, with access to mobility vehicles for outings and appointments.

Our team delivers person-centred support across both locations, promoting dignity and choice. Training is fully funded, and opportunities for progression are offered while you contribute

Qualifications

• Experience in social care or willingness to work in it.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle preferred.
• Willingness to drive mobility vehicles as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Support people with daily living and promote independence.
• Encourage participation in hobbies and community life.
• Help build relationships with family and friends.
• Assist with cooking, shopping, household tasks and managing finances.
• Provide dignified, person-centred personal care when required.
• Drive the people we support to activities and appointments using mobility vehicles.
• Support individuals based on their communication needs and support plans.
• Celebrate achievements and create meaningful moments daily.
